- National Ziegfeld Club - Founded in 1936 to promote the MGM movie "The Great Ziegfeld," the National Ziegfeld Club soon became a charitable organization to aid former Follies Girls who had fallen on hard times. As the years have passed, so have most of the original Ziegfeld Follies Girls; today there is only one survivor. The Club remains responsive to its original purpose of helping women in show business.
