Downtown Art Deco Walking Tour & Docent-guided tour of Flickering Treasures

May 19, 2019
Join ADSW for a downtown walking tour and docent-guided tour of Flickering Treasures at the National Building Museum on Sunday, May 19, 2019 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Downtown Art Deco Walking Tour & Docent-guided tour of Flickering Treasures

It's been a while since we've visited some of the fine buildings downtown. Highlights will include the streamlined splendor of the Old Greyhound Bus Station at 1100 New York Avenue, the elegant bas relief sculptures at the General Accounting Office entrance, the gorgeous zig zag detailing of the old Brownley's Building and much more.

We will then visit the National Building Museum to tour the popular Flickering Treasures, an in-depth and multi-faceted exhibit focusing on history of movie theaters in Baltimore. The tour will be led by exhibit curator and ADSW friend Deborah Sorensen.

The exhibit was well received at our holiday party back in December. Don't miss this opportunity to see it with special insights from the curator.

Where: Downtown DC, close to Metro Center (specific meeting instructions will be issued to all registrants)

When: Sunday, May 19th, 2:00 to 5:00 PM
