Vintage Fashion Show

ADSW's popular Vintage Fashion Show returns at a new venue--The Carlyle Club--the Washington area's premiere Art Deco-style nightclub. It will again be led by Lori Crandall with commentary by Donna Limerick. Photos from the 2010 Fashion Show provided by Paul Bohman www.paulbohman.com.  Bohman will also photograph the 2012 show.

                                                     

The afternoon kicks off with a reception featuring complimentary hors d'oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages. A cash bar will be available for those seeking something a bit stronger.

The selection of hors d'oeuvres will include an Artisan Cheese Display with imported and domestic cheeses, assorted breads and crackers, and sauces; a Market Fresh Vegetable Display with three dipping sauces, and an array of Butler Passed Hors d'Oeuvres including Tomato Bruschetta, Dijon Chicken Puff Pastry, Spanakopita, Boursin Stuffed Mushroom Caps, Vegetable Spring Rolls, Spinach and Artichoke Crisp, and Sliced Tenderloin on Toasted Rounds w/Creamy Horseradish Sauce. Sodas, coffee, and tea are complimentary.

    

                     

Following the reception, attendees will be seated as our male and female models show off their fashions from the 1920s through 1950s. Many of the models will display clothes and accessories from their own collections. Additional clothing and accessories will be provided by Gene Elm of Matinnee Idol and Karen Brenner of www.antiqueclothier.com.

Parking: The Carlyle Club is located at 411 John Carlyle Street in Alexandria, near the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Street parking should be available on a Sunday afternoon or there is garage parking available under the building.  

Metro: The Carlyle Club is about 1/4 mile from the King Street Metro station on the Blue/Yellow Line.
