House Tour and Musicale

Location: Hyattsville, MD. Full directions will be provided to all who register.

Tour the 1943 home of Neil Gladd. Learn what portions of the house are original, what changes were made over the past 70 years, and what the new owner has done and plans to do to restore the home. During the tour, participants will also view the owner's collection of Deco artifacts as well as a few pieces of "do-it-yourself" Deco designed and built by the owner.

Following the tour, Gladd will show part of his extensive sheet music collection and then, joined by jazz singer Diane Daly, perform some of the numbers. Gladd will accompany Daly on his 1920s reed organ and mandolin-banjo.

Refreshments will be served.
