But, Richmond was a major regional commercial and industrial center through the mid-20th century, and its a perfect place to find Art Deco. This tour will explore not only downtown commercial Richmond, but also Tobacco Row and other outlying areas. We'll also visit the renowned Lewis Collection of 20th Century Decorative Arts, and see a rare sight: the former Belgian Pavilion of the 1939 New York World's Fair now serving the campus of Virginia Union Universtiy, where we will be welcomed by university staff and Dianne Watkins of Bells for Peace, Inc. The tour will be led by Linda Lyons, the Art Deco Society of Washington's Education Chair and Acting Preservation Chair. Purchase tickets securely with a credit card or bank account using Paypal. You do not need to be a Paypal member to complete your purchase using a credit card. You can adjust the quantity in the shopping cart.
