We’ve planned a classic 1930's dinner dance at the glittering Art Deco Carlyle Club.

The evening features a seated dinner with music will be by City Rhythm Orchestra. For more information about the excellent band, City Rhythm Orchestra, visit their site at http://www.cityrhythm.com/.

You'll see special dance performances by 2007 World Swing Dance champions Benjamin Ricard and Genevieve Kerouac, better known as Ben and Gen. Their web site, http://ben-gen.com, features videos of their award winning dance routines.

Jean Veloz and her brother Ray Phelps will also be special guests. In 1943, MGM studios filmed a short called Groovie Movie that showcased a style of Lindy Hop made popular in Southern California by Dean Collins. Our heroine, Jean Veloz (nee Phelps) starred in that film. It has since become a favorite of and inspiration for Lindy Hoppers all over the world.
