Function:

Built in 1939, this brick 6 story brick apartment building’s most dominant feature is the bow front window bay repeated on either side of the center. The muntined windows are likely replacements, but they do a good job of capturing the delicate spirit so often lacking most other remodeled buildings of the same vintage in and around Washington. Also noteworthy are the vertically fluted glazed tile pilasters that curve inward on both sides of the entrance doors. The building is now being used by an organization that provides housing for interns.
