Don't miss this rare opportunity to break into "pictures."

The Washington, D.C. Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society
(NRHS) is looking for a few good men (and/or women) to star in a short
video about their 1930s Pullman Car, the Dover Harbor. NRHS needs 6-8
models in vintage attire willing to spend 4-6 hours being pampered by
its staff of uniformed Pullman Porters. A film crew will be on hand to
record the "journey" from the time a porter helps you aboard and leads
you to your berth carrying vintage luggage. You may be filmed enjoying a
few quiet moments sitting in the bedroom, relaxing in air-conditioned
comfort in the lounge chatting with other guests as porters serve
cocktails, or enjoying a gourmet meal served on vintage Pullman china.
Models will be filmed leaving the Dover Harbor in their vintage outfits
and, through a fade, stepping back into the present and their "modern"
clothes.

NRHS is preparing the video for posting on its website so your friends,
relatives, and millions of others around the world will be able to watch
your film debut. Both speaking and non-speaking roles will be available.
Speaking roles are expected to involve just a few sentences at a time
and be focused on the wonders of Pullman travel and the Dover Harbor.
Period talk, such as a discussion of who is the better actress, Joan
Crawford or Bette Davis or who is the better crooner, Sam Browne or Bing
Crosby, might also be involved. Too shy to speak on camera? Don't worry,
you are still welcome to participate.

Plans are still being developed but here are the details available at
this time.

Date(s): Saturday, August 15 and Saturday, August 29 are under
consideration. One date will likely be selected based on availability of
models, NRHS volunteers, and the film crew. If you have a preference,
tell Karyn.

Place: Filming will take place aboard the Dover Harbor, located in
Jessup, Maryland. Most of the filming will take place inside the air
conditioned Pullman car. Specific directions will be provided to
participants.

Food: A luncheon will be served as part of the filming. Accommodation
can be made for vegetarians. Beverages will be available throughout the
day.

Age/Sex of Models: No limitations. Seeking a mix.

Period Attire: 1930s preferred, but 1920s & 1940s also permitted.
Military uniforms also welcome. Changing rooms will be available.

If you are interested in participating in this exciting event, email
Karyn Jarboe at kjarboe@adsw.org or call 703-864-7070. Because only 6-8
positions are available, priority will be given to ADSW members.
