[adsw-announce] Interested in the Gold Cup?

Happy New Year Art Deco Society of Washington Members and supporters,
ADSW is moving ahead with improved social programs for 2008 and would like
your input.
One program we are seriously considering organizing and participating in is
The Annual Virginia Gold Cup steeplechase races on Sat. 3 May.
The VA Gold Cup started in the 1920s and is now a major event on the Metro
DC social calendar with over 50,000 spectators watching world class horses
racing in 6-7 races from 11am - 5pm on Sat 3 May. ADSW has the opportunity
to procure a railside tent so those participating can catch all the action
as close as possible with about 100 others for around $60/person.
Food, Open Bar and transportation from a common meeting area all included.
This $60 price tag saves you mucho dollars over the $75 - $100+ price tag
offered by other organizations for tent, transportation, food and open bar.
Although months away, the deadline for securing a prime railside spot is in
a couple weeks, so please EMAIL us back by Thurs. 31 Jan if you might be
interested - no commitment necessary, just a simple, I am interested in
this type of event...
