Ruth Bergman will present a lecture entitled "Furnishing The Nation's 
Capital: Woodies and Popular Taste in Washington DC, 1925-1940." Bergman 
will discuss how Woodward& Lothrop, D.C.'s flagship department store, 
melded modernism with the city's conservative tastes in home decor.
